Received an invitation from Auntie Veesa to her house in conjunction with Deepavali invitation, an invitation i was really looking forward for. What's special about it is because Auntie Veesa is a vegetarian. As in purely vegetarian - not even egg.. Guess she's really pious...
So lets take a look on the dishes we had...

The chicken used was not an actual chicken, as vegetarian is prohibited to consume any poultry nor anything with lives. It is a kind of mock chicken, made from mushroom n soy. Amazingly, it tasted almost like real chicken, plus the texture... In fact it was even softer n higher in terms of nutrients. Plus, in doesn't contain any cholesterol whatsoever...

The mutton also looked as real as the chicken was. With its texture, colour, taste n everything...
The vegetarian kurma uses an item called 'meal maker'. Its made of dried toufoo, whereby one needs to soak before cooking. Basically, the kurma contained carrot, potatoes n the meal maker.
Even though it was vegetarian meal, but i did stuffed n enjoyed the meal... Thanx a bunch to Auntie Veesa n family...
