Resemblance of Earring n Outfit

I've got several pairs of earring and as far as m concerned, I'll try 2 match with my outfit... Worse come to worse, if rasa susah nak match, just wear a plain one...

Apparently, there are some people (no name mentioned as they know who they are) yang tersangatlah creative... They tent to relate everything with surroundings... So, the girls la yang selalu jadi mangsa...

This pair of earring disamakan dengan
SEJENIS ITEM UNTUK MEMBUAT KUIH BAHULU
(pemukul telur precisely, before mixer existed)

This pair resembles WALLS ICE CREAM logo...
- motiff sgt kan cakap I duta walls???

Actually, x sama kan???

More than that, I was called
the walking KEK LAPIS SARAWAK...
because of my baju...

Lyn & Fara were called ZEBRA...
- coincidently they were wearing of the same motive...

Fara was called PANTHER in this outfit...
Besides that, she was even called MAID PINOI!!!
Kejam kan???

Aiyooo... guys, korang mmg xbley bla sggts kn... Errrghhh...

For whatever it is, tetap sayang korang ok...
Enjoyed your company as u guys are certainly 'my cup of tea'...
Mwahhhsx...

From Turkey with ♥

Firstly I'd like to Congratulate my beloved cousin, Fariza Ariffah & her newly wedded hubby, Bilal Ilhan. Fyi, Bilal is a Turkish and while his family were in town, Mum invited them to have lunch at home, untuk merapatkan silaturrahim...

Just to share some moments while they were here...

clockwise from myself :
Bilal's Uncle, Bilal (the groom), Bilal's Dad, Fariza Ariffah (the bride), Umar Farouq, Bilal's Mum & My Aunt - Datin Saodah.

This is Bilal's youngest brother, isn't he adorable??

Mum bz entertaining her guest...

I hope they've enjoyed the meal served
- we had chicken rice, sup tulang, kerabu mango etc...

Iffah with both Mum...
- Apparently she needs a 'translator' to communicate her MIL :D

This is a must in for Turkish...
Having lemon to their meal is like having kicap / sambal belacan in our meal... LOL

Fyi, just 2 share, a day before they arrived, I managed to go to giant in order 2 get additional item such as french loaf, garlic butter, lemon... The kacang tanah is for kerabu Mango... Thanx Hana for taking me... Lalala...

This is the sweetest part, we do have a collection of foreign notes placed underneath a glass on the living hall table. As they were browsing through those notes, they realized that Turkish note was not there, so Bilal's Uncle inserted one as an addition to our collection...

As far as communication was a problem, it was certainly a pleasure having them with us... Now, that we're related, syukur Alhamdulillah that our family has 'extended'...

ps: I learned a new word : "Hash Lamma" means Soup!!! lallalla

Pak Andak dalam kenangan

Al-Fatihah buat roh Pak Andak, Hj Shamsuddin Udin... Teringat lagi how Pak Andak used 2 fetch / sent me home everyday lepas ngaji dgn Mak Andak... Hanya Allah yang dapat membalas jasa baik kalian...

Exactly 2 days after Dad's "anniversary", received an sms from Ayu saying that Pak Andak passed away... I'll never forget his kindness of sending me home everyday on his way back 2 work... More than that, if I ngaji belah petang, he will fetch me, sent me 2 his house, then patah balik pegi kerja...

For all the troubles he went through, no words could ever explain, nothing could ever repay...

-- Semoga rohnya dicucuri rahmat, aminnn---

the Day You Went Away

22nd July 2006 was a date i'll never forget...
woke up early that day, getting ready 4 work that was supposed 2 start at 9...
apparently, we left early that day as i followed hubby to Sek. Memandu Cemerlang, in Klang...
once we arrived, received a call from mum "Abah jatuh bilik air, dah sejuk dah kaki dia"...
startled!!! rushed home...
on my way home, received another call "balik cepat skt, Abah dah takde"
BLANKED!!!!!!!

the journey home from Kampung Jawa to feels like eternity...
once i got home, both my uncles were already there...
rushed in to find abah dah kaku atas katil, with his singlet n kain pelikat...
i still have hope untill a doctor came and clarified "he's gone"..
and still have guts to ask "doc.. are u sure?"
i knew i was foolish then...

but what i knew was :
from that moment, my life changed completely...
from that moment, things will never be the same again...

-enough said as i really can't elaborate it anymore - tears just can't stop running anymore-

Foods Galore @ SETEM Preview

Well well well... I was invited by Mr. Ajami for Preview of SETEM yang bakal ditayangkan on the 30th July 2009... (thanx Uncle Ajami). Frankly speaking this is my first time going for a movie preview as blogger, n i'm not ashamed to admit that i was kinda 'jakun' that evening especially when I saw FOOOOOODSSSSSSSS........

Those were the kind of foods that could really make me go 'gaga' n I decided to have a review on those marvelous foods, first... Aci x??? But then, xkiralah... I still wanna share what we had that evening...

After the registration, we were invited in and dijemput makan... I thought it was some kind of refreshment but it was a cocktail party... They served Canapes and i do love canapes... Yummy yummy...

A canapé (Spanish/French for couch[1] and known in Italy as tartina) is a small, prepared and usually decorative food, held in the fingers and often eaten in one bite.
source

This was the 1st stuff that got in me - Its Prawn Canape... Really delicious as it was fully marinated with chilli and some other spices... It had cucumber beneath but I passed the cucumber and just headed for the prawns only... Of course, I had more than 1 :)

This is Caviar & egg (telur puyuh)... Eventhough the ratio of caviar was little, i could feel the taste n luxury of consuming it...

This cocktail sausages were simple yet tasty... Served with pea and cucumber... I've always loved steamed sausages and it's soft texture complimented my tooth that was aching at that moment...

Eventhough it was 'sinful', it was yummy... I was told by Dr. Joey not to consume too much this Skewed Mutton, but I had a bite... The combination of Mutton, mushroom and capsicum was perfect. Especially when the texture of the meat were tender & not too tough...

This was Oyster & Canape (fried bread).. Just had the oyster & left the canape aside... To me, oyster will always taste good when not served raw... May call me 'orang kampung' but I just do not tolerate raw oysters...

Finally, these fish fingers has always been my favorite but I had to put it aside as my aching tooth just won't allow it... Eventhough I didn't taste it, I knew that it tasted great as it was served wit tartar sauce...

Besides being being delicious, presentation plays a major role in serving canapes...

This is celery / daun Saderi... Kalu Wonderpets nampak, sure dorg suka... Buat stock nak celebrate kejayaan... LOL... ps : If x tgk, xkan faham ok :)

Besides canapes, there were main dish served to the guest at the other end of the buffet line. It was Fried Meehoon and Roti Jala served with Chicken Curry yang sangat sedap... I could feel the taste of spices used and I loved it as i managed to have my favorite portion - thigh :D The dessert were fruits and Jelly...

I gave two thumbs up for Diners Caterers as i'm really sure that they never fails their hosts... Be it any theme / concept, their foods are always delicious... So does their price kot... Hehhehhee... As they were always catered by 'the higher end'.

And my compliments and appreciation goes to Tayangan Unggul for the wonderful hospitality... Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart...

Air Mandian Daun - home made

Holla... At this particular moment of time, m feeling fresh as I just had a traditional bath... Bukan mandi bunga ok... tp mandi daun... Its home made & I wanna share the process of getting it done... It's really simple... Yang susah maybe 2 get those daun-daun jer...

> Firstly, prepare a large periuk, pour in water & dapatkan all the daun-daun / herba tradisional... M sure ramai yang x berapa kenal all those daun-daun, so do I... hehhehe...

the left dulang (from top left) :
* Daun Pisang Mas
* Daun Lempoyang (not sure the name)
* Daun Limau Purut
* Daun Belimbing Buluh

the right dulang (from left) :
* Daun Inai
* Daun Lengkuas
* Daun Jambu
* Daun Pandan
(yang ni sure semua kenal, rite :D)

> Wash those daun-daun... Make sure it's really clean especially for one with sensitive skin...

> Gather those daun-daun and put the pot... Add lengkuas...

> Then, wait till the water boils...

> Ok.. Done...

> Have a normal bath...
> Rinse with the air rebusan...

Don't be too rigid by not adding cold water as m not responsible in any skin damage... LOL

"Selamat Bersiram, y'alll"

note :
This bath is recommended after a long day... It'll make u feel fresh...
Also good for back pain and normally used for mothers in confinement (dalam Pantang) in kampung-kampung...

Tailor-made Stamp by Pos Malaysia

For a stamp collector (even for the one's who is not), there's nothing more precious than having stamps with your own face in it... This is what i won during Preview Filem SETEM...

I was asked a super duper easy question by Ahmad Fedtri Yahya, the host and the winner will get a tailor made stamp with their face on it. This is worth RM19.00.

Being the first couple to win entitled us to a have a stamp with our picture on it. To me, this is really cool and such an experience...

Thanx to Pos Malaysia & Tayangan Unggul!

As we're the 1st winning couple, we got this stand too

Hubby answering question by Fedtri

On my way 2 the Blogger's Award

Something unfortunate happened to me on my way 2 Rest. Nelayan, Titiwangsa to attend Yoyooh's Bloggers Award.

It happened at Batu 3 toll plaza. I was at the Smart Tag lane wanted to make a right turning to the rest area. As i was turning, a car hit me.

It may seemed like it was their fault as they hit me but as far as law is concerned, it was my fault as the right turning was a complete NO NO...

Everything was settled. The only thing that I need 2 crack my head about is how on earth m i supposed 2 seek fund 2 get my car fixed...

The bad condition of my car

The car that hit me...
And that the feet of the owner yang almost tasted Lyn's slap...
Lucky her that Lyn didn't loose her senses...

This pic was taken before i left Nelayan...

Having said that, eventhough things are settled (partially) the impact of the incident are tremendous :

  • The ammout of time we wasted while waiting 2 get things done
  • Comming late to an event and got everything delayed
  • Dealing with a mighty emotional, childish, short tempered, improffional, unethical couple
  • Had to drag Adam & Lyn + her friend in this whole mess
  • The trauma that I had to go through
  • The set of question that i had to prepare when people ask about my car- how i wish i could copy n paste the answer... LOL
  • The list goes on n on...

Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone for all your concern shown. To Lyn & Adam, thx for being there & so sorry for the trouble u had to go through... Lyn, pls say thx 2 yr friend, too...

My uncle called later. Said everything is ok n apologized that i had to bother him at the wrong timing. He said "its ok, I know i felt lost n had no where to turn too..." Hung up and shed into tears as usually DAD will be the first person I would call whenever I got in trouble... Enough said...

Nukilan yang Menyentuh Perasaan

A cousin of mine mintak tolong buat posting at our family blog. She emailed 2 me & i uploaded. Received overwhelming respond from the family members as Arwah was a really a nice person. So I decide 2 share here...

Fyi, my cousin lost both her parents dalam masa 2 years (roughly). My Uncle left not long after his wife... I'm aware that most of u doesn't happen to know Arwah, and the impact may not be the same, but I really wanted 2 share as it touched our hearts... And mine especially...

tiba2 saya terpanggil utk mencoretkan sesuatu yang saya rasa patut dikongsi bersama..sy bukanlah seorang penulis..tp sekadar mencoret apa yg terlintas dikepala..

Saya teringat akan kata2 ABAH (paman sam) bahawa dia terlalu sayangkan MAK..
ABAH sentiasa menganggap bahawa MAK adalah sahabat karibnya, teman tidurnya, kekasihnya dan isterinya..
semua perkara dikongsi bersama..
tidak ada rahsia antara mereka berdua..ABAH tidk pernah menyuruh MAK utk membancuhkan kopi atau memasak makanan kegemarannya..
malah setiap hari cuti especially Ahad..
ABAH yang akan memasak..
ABAH memang pandai masak..
ABAH selalu kata tak semestinya seorang isteri itu mesti membuatkan kopi dan memasak untuk suaminya..

Hobi mereka berdua yg sy masih ingat..
menanam pokok orkid..
mereka selalu melakukannya bersama-sama..
so romantic n touching...
masa tu kami kecik..
tak perasan semua tu..
bila dah besar..
diingatkan semula..
memang romantic..

Yang paling best..setiap kali mak bersalin..
abah yang tungkukan perut mak..
masakkan jamu..
mandikan baby dan segalanya la...
Saya pernah tanya ABAH..
kenapa bila mak bersalin abah tak masuk tengok padahal dari mama hingga daam, mak bersalin di Klinik Salina(private)..
rasanya time tu klinic private mmg benarkan suami masuk ke labour room...
ABAH kata dia takut...

emy..ko tolong edit la apa2 yg patut...airmata aku dah takleh lap lagi...huhuhu

- my dear cousin, if u're reading this, sorry aku upload dkt sini gak... Bukan untuk personal interest but as i said earlier, just 2 share, hope u don't mind... Lagipun nukilan nko ni amat mendalam impactnya... I miss them 2... Al-Fatihah...

Ferrero Rondnoir - Dark Chocolate Heaven for Forrero Rocher Fans

In conjunction with National Chocolate Day, I'd like to share one of my favorite Chocolate - Ferrero Rondnoir (noir means dark). It's another product from the manufacturer of Ferrero Rocher but the the difference between these 2 is Ferraro Rondnoir is made of dark chocolate.

Getting Ferrero Rondnoir in the market wasn't as easy as Ferraro Rocher, maybe coz it's not popular here. Some of the places that i spooted this chocolate was in KLIA, LCCT, Gardens and Langkawi - assorted with other Ferrero products...

In one is doesn't fancy dark chocolate, they may not find this pleasurable, but as for dark chocolate fan, this is our heaven... -enuff said-

Indulging Durians - the authentic way

I may fancy durian but I may not tolarate the smell. Kalau nak makan, eat it on the spot and don't ever bring it 2 the car that i'll be in - that's my rule... Kejam kan....

On our way back from Merbok looking for Cinta Sayang's venue, we dropped by at a gerai 2 asked 4 direction. Then we felled in love with the durian that this pakcik was selling.

Punyalah baik pakcik ni, he even checked one by one to find the best 4 us...

Then we indulged ourselves at the pondok by his stall...

Nyummy nyummy....

This is called 'sleeping cat' aka kucing tidur la... The a situation when there only 1 long slice in a certain pangsa... [Word of the day : Pangsa - not rumah pangsa ok...]

My lovely 'sleeping cat'

Petua of the day : 2 avoid effect after eating durian, u have to drink from the kulit. I've always been doing this ever since... I don't see how this is proven scientifically, but psychologically, i'll feel good after doing it... It like perfect ending 2 a lovely durian session... lol...

note : would be good if the air is air RO... sanggup amek from car :D

This was another session that took place at Tanjung Dawai, nearby UiTM Kedah... This time, it was more than just durian, it had rambutan and manggis 2... The manggis cost RM9 for 4 kg... Murah kan... I bought 6 kg of mangosteen... lallala...

We ate 2 durians - 1 small & 1 big... Guess how much we paid? RM3 only... taxes included... Dahla murah, fresh lak 2....

All in all, eating durian in Kedah could really drive me nuts... Not only caused by it's freshness & price, but for all those calories & cholesterols intakes... enuff said...
