Line Clear Nasi Kandar

Ada apa dgn Line Clear? Aswad la sgt kan... LOL

Apparent, Line Clear Nasi Kandar really popular and it's one the oldest nasi Kandar in Penang. Managed to give a try during our short visit there.

Well, nama Line Clear mmg gah & very popular. But surprisingly, the location wasn't so 'indah'. It is not even located in a proper shop. But the crowd is amazing. The choices of food? Wow! Marvellous...

Just have a look at our plates...

Meriah, kannnn...

I had Chicken, Squid & Telur sotong... The vege & papadum comes together...

We even had additional kuah.. When we asked for extra kuah, we tot theya re jusst going to pick a kuah n put in the place. Apparently, the mamak actually mixed all kuah & pun in the little plate... Just have a look on how Hannah indulged herself carefully with the extra kuah...

All in all, we're really satisfied with the taste. It was worth the trip. Certainly, the location had got nothing to do with the taste... LOL... Need proof? Just have a look at the plate below :D btw, that's certainly not my plate ok... It was my better half's...

Hannah deserved a round of applause, too... Larikkkk...

As for the bill, it was as what we expected. Furthurmore we took a lot & do bear in mind that it was half chicken, so considered worth it...

"ok... Line Clear"
LOL

Palembang - Glimpse on our Trip

Y Palembang? Some may asked... It's not even a well known city. Well, to be honest, it's the only affordable destination available to compliment out travel dates. The rest cost a fortune... And, we do have some other reason about not going elsewhere, 1001 of them, in fact :)

AFAIC, it's the birthplace of Parameswara... Since when i became a historical freak? I even hated sejarah... Hahhahaha...

We actually heard numerous stories about Palembang that discouraged us. But we've no choice left. But deep in my heart, i do want 2 check Palembang out. After research through the net and discussion with my in law's, we made up our mind and booked the ticket.

Well, no harm trying... But all in, after the trip, I conclude that every city has it's special identity & every trip holds a different story... Wasn't so bad after all...

DAY 1 :

- Departed to Palembang via Air Asia's AK492.

- Arrived at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport in Palembang

- Undergo health screening for H1N1 thingy

- Headed to Horison Hotel via shuttle provided

- Checked in Harison, Palembang

- Dinner at RM Sri Melayu, Jalan Demang Lebar Daun (RM = Rumah Makan)
it serves Palembang signature dish - Ikan Patin Masak Pindang

note : This place has got nothing to do with our local Restaurant Sri Melayu at Jalan Conlay no Lebar Daun, the development company located at sec 9 Shah Alam... LOL

DAY 2 :

- Sightseeing via complimentary Vintage City Transportation provided by the Hotel. It's known as 'MOBIL KETEK' - Jeep Willy 1961. Really cool & authentic!!!

- Visited Benteng Kuto Besak

- Ampera Bridge : jambatan kebanggan Rakyat Palembang

- Rented a boat to take a ride along Musi River

- Took a peek at Museum Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II

- Visited MONPERA (Monument Perjuangan Rakyat)
If we have our Tugu Negara, this is like Palembang's Monument cum Museum. It symbolizes independence and the their very own Panglima Besar Jeneral Sudirman.

- Masjid Agung Palembang
This place hold the largest Al-Quran in the world

- Lunch at RM Pindang Musi Rawas
Same concept with Sri Melayu, but personally, I prefer Sri Melayu due to ampbience, price, concept, taste etc...

- Melentics at Palembang Indah Mall (PIM)

- Got the chance to have a look at Mummy Exhibition, collaboration with National Geographic & Egypt Embassy.

DAY 3 :

- Bought some foodstuff from Pempek Candy.
It may sounds kinda k*nky, Pempek seems to be a special meal of Palembang. It's something like our yong tou foo and keropok lekor. Not because of the name, but we didn't fancy this stuff.

We preffered their keropok as for us, Palembang's keropok is the best. Even if we were at Bandung, we'll always buy Keropok Palembang to be taken home.

- Tried Murtabak HAR, a famous Murtabak here. Something like our Roti Telur with a slightly different dough but same concept.

- Indulge and rejuvenate ourselves at Rumah Spa - something really worth it after those long walks & travelings.

- Night scenes of Ampera Bridge (again!)
Being in Ampera Bridge at at the evening is nothing like being there daytime. It has beautiful lights and great scenery & ambiance.

- Crossed Musi River and had dinner at RM. Lagenda, a floating restaurant.
We already rented a boat to get to the restaurant and back when we found that the restaurant offered shuttle boat.. Well... it was a little late then... Huhuhu...

DAY 4 :

- Home sweet home :)

best of luck 2 4 of us : Sabrina & Nieda, Hannah & me...

the best thing is - we're all GIRLS!!!! Yippeeeee....

ok girls, ingat ya, our theme song 4 the weekend will be : THE CLIMB!!!

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm gonna to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing,
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes they knock me down but
No I'm not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I,
I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on

Sinetron Intan

As mentioned in my FB status :

glad that INTAN finally came 2 conclusion after 263 episodes... Can't believe that both of us actually layan this 'sinetron' ;p

hahhahah... Xbley bla sgt kn... Layan citer Intan...

I know this show is a kinda 'draggy' and some part of it mmg absurd & illogical, but it has a strong & good storyline. I could say congrats to SinemArt for producing INTAN.

Sometimes I do wonder... Does a hubby as sweet, loving, caring, and (almost) perfect as Rado, really exist??? Then i asked my better half :
"Yangggg... Hubby macam Rado 2 betul2 wujud ke dalam dunia reality?"
"Yes.... Meeeee :D"
"Perasan"

But deep in my heart, I said, memang pun..... hehehhehe

note :
for those that would like 2 catch Intan's last episode's synopsis, click here

Intan's Theme Song Lyric:

Ruang Rindu - Letto

Di daun yang ikut mengalir lembut
Terbawa sungai ke ujung mata
Dan aku mulai takut terbawa cinta
Menghirup rindu yang sesakkan dada
Jalanku hampa dan kusentuh dia
Terasa hangat oh didalam hati
Kupegang erat dan kuhalangi waktu
Tak urung jua kulihatnya pergi
Tak pernah kuragu dan slalu kuingat
Kerlingan matamu dan sentuhan hangat
Ku saat itu takut mencari makna
Tumbuhkan rasa yg sesakkan dada

Chorus 2x:
Kau datang dan pergi oh begitu saja
Semua kutrima apa adanya
Mata terpejam dan hati menggumam
Di ruang rindu kita bertemu

Bertemu

Such a sweet song... Lalalaa...

My Father's Day

Last weekend marks Father's Day to every1 yang yang bergelar anak in this world. Unfortunately, this is the 3rd year I didn't get the chance 2 say 'Happy Father's Day' to my biological father since he departed on July 22nd, 2006.

Apparently, last Saturday bersamaan 26 Jamadil Akhir 1430H genaplah 3 tahun he left us, dari kiraan calender Hijrah. Coincidentally, i felt on Father's Day! The tahlil was held on Sunday. Thanx to semua yang hadir. So sorry if i didn't invite anyone as it was held in our little home in Kampung Olak Lempit, Banting.

To my beloved gentle readers, I would appreciate if you could spare a few moment and recite Al-Fatihah buat roh Ayahanda Hj. Basri Bajuri...

Thank You very much... I do appreciate it...
Semoga Allah menerima doa kita semua buatnya... Amin...
