Dinner at Nasi Kandar Padang Kota, KD

Had dinner at Nasi Kandar Padang Kota of Kota Damansara outlet... Ok, not too bad.. Just wanna share what we had... Ada free wifi lagi :)

The food display really caught our attention to dine dekat sana... It had large bowl and lots of kuah-kuah...

When we got there, this chicken baru diangkat from the pan... It looked so good as it was still fresh.. So, hubs decided to have nasi kandar with fried chicken, telur sotong (yang eksotic bak kata Hannah) and cabbage... Plus papadom...

This was it... All in all, it was ok... We're not really sure how to grade it, but just put it this way - to be compared with Line Clear / Kayu Nasi Kandar / Kassim Mustaffa, etc... of coz la sgggt x setanding... They are way much better...

But still better than the typical ones at Shah Alam neighborhood, such as Darul Ehsan, Khalifah, Khulafa, Ali Corner, etc...

As for me, I wanna have 'Kacang Pool' but since it was out of stock, I tried the LAMB STEW... 2 nos Lamb Shanks served with bread and sangat crispy... It's must try dish for any lamb lovers out there... Sangat sedapppp... Could feel all the spices n black pepper...

But for those yang ellergic with lamb, plase avoid this one... Strictly!!!

Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks

This outlet had been in town for years... One of the outlet is at Bukit Bintang, luar Low Yat Plaza... It's HALAL but kitorang yang was-was... So we dare not eat it... Nowdays, dah bukak lebih banyak outlet, such as in Ikano (next to steamboat), Pyramid, Lot Yat n more... But this one is in Subang Parade...

It also appear to be in a more proper manner and hygenic... Furthurmore, they managed to portray a more convincing halal image...

The concept is more to a Hawker's / kiosk... So it's not like a restaurant but more to a stall thingy... with stool n little table for people to eat and go...

The foods are mostly snack items... But it's heavy enough for me :D

This is the best selling item... Its called Crispy Chicken... It's crispy and spicy... Apparently, it's white meat (breast) but the texture is so soft, i happend to tolarate it, even i don't fancy white meat, as i'm more to thigh and drumstick type of person...

But the meat x la rasa 'sabut'... Furthurmore, white meat is actually the healtiest part of the chicken as it doesn't contain too much fat... Hhhahhaa... hope i bear that in mind!!!

This is the handmade oyster mee sua... Sedappppp... Loved it so much... Nak2 lagi when u add the sambal... But hubs didn't like it as he x take those oysters... As for me, as long as the oysters are not raw, it should be ok... N also loved the shreaded chickens... Yummy.... Rated # 1 katanya.... So, supposed to be good la, kn... I guess it does...

This is the egg crepe with Chicken floss filling... A must try item for Chicken Floss lovers... The crepe is crispy while the chicken floss mmg sedap... A bit spicy though...

While we were eating, hubs got a call from his BFF, Edil who happened to be having dinner with his family in Sushi King... His cute bundle of joy is Ayeesha... Isn't she adorable???

Recording of Sehati Berdansa

I was given the opportunity to accompany my dear friend, Maizan Salleh to the recording of Sehati Berdansa which took place at Studio 1 of Astro, few weeks ago. At first, I was quite surprise that Maizan asked me to come along with her to Astro, nak nak lagi Sehati Berdansa, as it was so not like her...

Rupanya, she was there as the President of KL & Selangor Albanism Association (KLSAA) which was represented by Nana & Sein Ruffedge... So, every recording perlu lah ada wakil from the society... I was glad that she invited me and it was such an experience for me... Apparently I didn't take banyak pics as i normally did, due to some reason and consequences...

As we got there, we sat at the reserved seats written 'chariry Sein'... Those seats are for Charity bodies representatives and families... As for the Fan Clubs and supporters, they will have to stand by the side of the stage...

This pic was taken before the final dance of the contestance... As usual la recording, banyak cut n paste thingy.. Thank goodness they didn't have to repeat many times...

Coincidently, during this episode was supposed to be Aznil Nawani's birthday. He happened to be one of the guest judges for the episode...


So each and everyone (supposingly la) of the guest dapat cuppies... But it was more to a 'sapa cepat dia dapat' concept... I sort of needed to berebut to grab it... But it was the last 2... Just nice for me n Maizan...

But it was worth the rebut coz the cupcake memang sedap.... The fudge wasn't too sweet... N the texture was soft, yet chocolatey... Tak terasa baking soda sgt2 as how normal cuppies does...

Ya ampunnns!!! perlukerrr gue buat food revies gak dalam entry ni??? hehhehehe.... Well, guess I just can't help it laa....

Watching things live before your very own eyes is really different from watching on TV... Dalam TV, semua pun sangat indah n perfect... The best thing was, i didn't even got the chance to watch this on TV as i had to attend a friend's reception...

All in all, it was great to watch the recording... Thanx to Maizan for inviting me...

And thanx a lot for the lovely gift... I've always loved the sweet scent of rosses to freshen the air... Thanx again for both... And, thanx for being such a wonderful frind of mine, since we were in Secondary 2... Mwahhhsxxx...

dalam pada 2, sempat gak imagine what if Dafi join Sehati Berdansa.. Provided he had to be married 1st la... M sure DFC akan 'membanjiri' Astro saban minggu... That will take like years to go... Before my imagination goes wilder, i'd better run for my life.....

Hubby's 'Mini Reunion'

Ini kisah 5 sekawan... Sham, Edil, Zack, Ismali & Lan. They've been friends ever since they studied in UiTM Jengka, then Shah Alam.. They even stayed at the same dorm called Perindu... aka Perin-ZOO.. hahhahhaha.... If u're from UiTM, u'll be well verse abt 'Perinzoo'...

The left one is Ismali, immediate right is Zack, the one next to Zack is Edil... Apparently, Lan was not around as he is in Malacca, and hardly comes down to KL...

This is the 1st time they met Mali, after 12 years... Well, as per Hubs, Mali mmg type yang baik, innocent n decent... Well, obviously he is...

As for Edil n Zack, they met quite often... Had buka puasa together, open house n more... Especially Edil, as he is just staying around the corner... As i dalam jajahan Shah Alam gaks... So selalu lah dorg ber2 ni lepak... Pegi 'dinding' n allll... Hanya dorg yg taw di manakah dinding.... hehhehehehe....

Actually, they're planning 2 have a reunion for their classmates of Diploma Teknologi Tekstil, Applied Science Faculty... Probably in December or March 2010...

In the means of planning n tracking down all the classmates... Thnx 2 Facebook... Ramai jugak dah jumpa... As for me, i've got so much on my mind that i wanna suggest to them... hehhehehhe.... Hopefully it'll be meriah... and yang penting hope it will become reality....

So, this session kira 'mini reunion' la gamaknya...

Since it's their 1st 'reunion' with Ismali, they treated him Flaming Steamboat... Hope he loved it as much as we did... As for me, I was just 'menyibuk' jer... hehhehehe.... Went back (after 'stuffing' myself :D with lotsa seafood n 'papan' - a term i used for fucuk)... just 2 let them have sometimes for themselves... Thx Edil coz anta Sham balik...


Owh ya, this was also my 1st time 2 Flaming after so long... the last time i got here was before Ramadhan, lama kn... Now ada another level opened according 2 Edil n NadRainbow...

N i realised ada several new items, esp shelled seafood... M x sure what its called, but it looked like 'abang kepada siput sedut' :)) But the texture is a bit keras compared to siput sedut n ada the layer that needed to be removed too, just like siput sedut...

BB Hailam Chicken Rice

Just to share another food outlet... Since we were at the Bukit Bintang area, I decided to have BB Hailam Chicken Rice for lunch... Planned 2 have Shawarma, but it;s only available at night, then tot of having Subway, but i was thinking that it's available at Sunway... ecekeli, teringin sgt nk mkn Chicken rice...

I've always loved Chinese chicken rice, instead of malay ones (x sedar diri kn.. hahahha)... But even though this is Chinese, it's definitely HALAL... I've they've got endorsement, sapalah kita nk mempertikai, rite... But if u feel was2, then better find another alternative la...

Hailam BBQ Set - RM 8.90


This is the BBQ Chicken... It's Drumstick and a bit sweet... But i love it..

And, this is the Hailam Chicken... We ordered thigh... One good thing about it is, the chicken is well done... xde la, yg merah inside... ewwww... just x tolerate those...

They also have the steamed chicken, but we definitely can't take any of those...

And the soup is delicious, it contains kacang inside... which is really high in protein...

Besides those, there are also side orders such as kerabu mango, toufoo, beansprout, spring rolls, and much more...

CUCI The Musical

For the 1st time in my life, I watch theater... Never watch any before, except for one in Japan , way back when i was in secondary 2... So CUCI the musical is my 1st attempt... And it was tremendously a great one... Besides being hilarious, it tot us a lot... About friendship, loyalty, faith, honesty, hard work, determination, dreams n much more...

I really had fun watching it... Unexplainable experience...

This is the ticket that cost me..... a fortune.... LOL... Wanted 2 get the cheaper ones but the best seats were all taken... But it was really WORTH!!! We've got a great seat with great view... Sggt satisfied...

This is towards the ending part where Hans Issac, the Executive Producer acknowledged all the crew, stars and everyone involved in the show. Btw, since it was the last show, it finished a bit longer and the ad-libs were more... That what i heard...

After the show, we were given the opportunity to meet the stars during an autograph session, provided we purchase any merchandise. So, I bought the booklet.... which contains lots of info about it...

With Vanidah Imran (as CJ) and Reefa (as the Reporter). Vanidah is sangatt cantekk, and i've always been adoring her...

With Adibah Noor as Farah... I loved her character yang sangat chumelllss... Really loved the part where she became 'Tina Turner' but really looked like Sahara Yaacob...

AC plays role as C'Tan (not setan... lol) yang afraid of height... Loved the part when he merajuk...

With Awie as jim wau jim wau (Jojo). Pisang goreng is his specialty. The part when he fells in love with Farah was so cute... Siap ada love cupid lagi...

With my all time favourite, Afdlin Shauki... I actually told him that i wasn't even over Papadom n now i'm already head over heels on CUCI the musical... Dia sangat besttttt.....

Finally, with DR. JOEY... I knoe it's belum dr yet... But i've always been calling him Doc... Fyi, he just delivered a baby (on his own) about an hour before the show starts... It was such a beautiful feeling... And it was so sweet when he text me a day after saying that THE MOTHER NAME HER SON AFTER ME...

Well Joey, may u achive everything that u've been 'struggling' for... and thanx a lot for everything...
