The Chinese Course Malay Wedding

As mentioned in my previous post, attended my cousin's wedding At Kota Permai Golf Club... They served Chinese Course... Yummy yummy... I've always Chinese food.... According 2 mum, it was brilliant idea that his brother choose Chinese cuisine.. With all the Raya n travels, she's kinda tired of all the rendang bagai...

THE CUISINE

GOLDEN DRAGON DOUBLE HAPPINESS
- Normally they'll have 4 season but this is like a hot & cold combination as starter. The left one consist of crab meat and century egg... Lama x mkn century egg. Meanwhile the left one is some kind of jellyfish kot... One of my uncle called it 'plastik'... Hehehhehe... Liat katanya... As for me, sedap jer... But they should be platted and served coz as starter, yang amek dulu akan dapat lebih... Thank goodness my table semua very tolarable, as semua pun my family member gaks...

*****

BRAISED SHARK'S FIN SOUP WITH CRABMEAT & CHICKEN
- not that m pro towards 'cruelty against animal', but i've always loved shark's fin suop all my life... Or any of that type, be it shark's fin or sea cucumber, it's my heaven... Plus some Chinese vinegar & sprinkled cili padi, ya ampunnnnnssss!!!!!

*****

FRIED RICE IN 'YONG CHOW' STYLE
- this was supposed to be the final course before dessert but been brought forward to the 3rd one. It think it was a pretty good idea esp. for those with kids. They really enjoyed the fried rice. Yelah Malay kids, manalah nk makan sgt Chinese food... As for the taste, memang tasty and loved the prawns... So fresh, juicy n chunky...

*****

STEAMED RED TALAPIA FISH WITH CHEF SPECIAL SAUCE
- the gravy is sangat sedap... An improvise version version of our masak 3 rasa... But i don't actually fancy Talapia, coz it's berlemak n terbayang ikan dalam Mum's pond (used to be la), so i just took a little for the sake of taking fish as i loved fish so much... (that's a reason i x live in Turkiye as Turkish x berapa consume seafood... LOL)

*****

CRISPY DEEP FRIED CHICKEN WITH LEMON SAUCE
- one of the best Lemon Chicken I've tasted! nama pun crispy, so it was definitely crispy regardless the sauce. It wasn't too sweet & the chicken didn't contain too much fat though...

*****

WOK FRIED FRESH PRAWN WITH MARMITE SAUCE
- yummy yummy yummy! i've always loved prawn, and the prawn is so sedap... most of the people in my table kureng skt with prawn so i had quite a few. Thank goodness anda some1 yang tolong take off the kulit... lallalalla... Thx Yangggg!!!

fyi, kupas udang pun perlu ada skill ok... esp using fork & spoon, bare hand shouldn't be a prob...

*****

BRAISED MUSHROOM WITH CHINA PAK CHOY
- Kak Mas kata they used Lee Kum Kee Oyster sauce, that's y it's red, if other brand esp. MAGGI, it would turn up black or dark brown... Ok! leave that to the experts, but for me the mushroom are really delicious n juicy...

*****

CHILLED ICE LONGAN WITH SEA COCONUT
& CRISPY 'SHANG HAI ' PANCAKE
- our final course... The pancake was really crispy & the filling wasn't too sweet...
