Egg

One of the difference between fresh egg & non fresh one is the layer that separated the egg yolk and white is thick.

This is what i discovered when had to extract egg yolks in order 2 make some kuih raya.

If the egg is agak lama, i tend to face difficulties separating the yolk, it will 'pecah' easily ie. 2 egg 1 ok, 1 egg akan fail...

But with fresh egg, I manage to separate 7 egg yolks n white, successfully... As in, not even a single failure...

Bagus (the shop that sells baking ingredient) Shah Alam adalah sangat hampehhh!!! How could they sell RM0.40 for an egg? Grade B lak 2...
What made it worse was it wasn't even new egg...
I might as well buy telur Seri Murni yang xde anti-biotik itewww...

Pappa Rich

Had our berbuka puasa session at Pappa Rich, SS15 branch... Actually, hubs been wanting 2 take me there eversince, due 2 some reason, i put it on hold 1st... Finally we managed to hop in and had our meals there...

To us, Pappa Rich is not like the normal type of kopitiam, it's of to a higher end - tengok harga la dowh!! But it's really worth it... The taste, quality, presentation is really worth the price...

When we arrived, we were immidiately served warm water and slice of watermelon, for berbuka puasa...

Lets take a look at what we had at Pappa Rich :

Pappa Cendol - RM 4.80

- for chendol lovers, ini adalah sedap...

- teruk gak kena 'paku' dkt office while composing this post... lol

Pappa Curry Laksa Special with Foochok

- RM 9.90

- This tasted good, too... terasa all the spices

- Just have a look at the large chuncks of chicken

Dry Curry Mee with Foochok & Fishcake

- RM 8.90

Another good one...

The best part about eating dry curry is the 'menggaul' process...

Add some chilli padi, and some soup... Marvellous!!!

- don't be fooled by the bill as it doesn't include beverage...

- Will certainly drop by again... That time gonna try the steamed pau & roti bakar / kukus :D

Papa John

Went to Bazaar Ramadhan Section 13, Shah Alam with Hannah & Sabrina.

Suddenly I caught my eyes at Papa John that sells extra ordinary Roti John... Tengokla the varieties of Roti John that they have...

Actually been eyeing for Papa John for quite sumtimes, eversince last year lagi... But the Q were just too long... But then, since the Q was tolerable, I decided 2 just go with it...

Ordered John Ayam Special - RM 5.50

The specialty of Papa John is that they have an additional layer of chicken / beef along with the ordinary egg layer...

Accompanied by a layer of cabbage n such...

Topped up with 3 types of sauces - black pepper, chilli sauce & mayonnaise...

Lalala..... Yummy yummy...

On our way back, holding on 2 my luvely Papa John...

And this is my colleague, Sabrina... Look at the goods that she got 4 the whole family... Such a responsible sister...

Exclusive screening of Fight Master : SILAT

Fight Master : SILAT is a collaborative journey between The New Straits Times & National Geographic Channel. It is in conjunction of Merdeka special. Do check it out on Astro Channel 553 starting on Merdeka Eve.

Basically this program is a kind of Documentary cum Reality Show, of an American Boy, Joel who came to Malaysia with his Silat Master, Cikgu Sam, to learn n master Silat.

This program also shows on the techniques of Silat Gayung. On the first hand, I thought it was gonna be a boring one as it was documentary show, but once it started, i enjoyed each n every second of it.

Rasa macam lagi best than going 2 movie preview. Of coz la i can't compare orange and apples. All I can say, watching it makes us feel proud of our national heritage, furthermore if u've learned silat before...

Being 2 the exclusive screening gave us the opportunity to meet up with Malaysian Silat Master. These people are the ones with highest ranking in Malaysia.

Hubby was extremely excited about meeting them as he was a former student of Silat Gayung, back then. According to him, meeting them was like meeting 'SIFU'.

Got the invitation from a dear friend of ours, Ms. Angeline Poon. As IRCC is one of NST's advertiser (even we didn't advertise much...lol), we were given the privilege of attending the launch ceremony.

Just to share some other pics that we took during the event :

The cocktail served an array of foods such as fried meehoon, fried rice, chicken drummet, sausages, sandwiches, kuih muih n more...

Once we left the cinema, we rush to IT hypermarket as Hannah needs to get a mouse for her darlink lappy, as her previous mouse was not functioning anymore...

Since Ramadhan were just around the corner, we 'continued' our journey 2 Uptown Damansara... All of them Chicken Chop - I didn't... Ekekkekee.... Kenyang lagi uols - so just had popiah...

An Evevning out with Linawati

Firstly, I'd like to introduce uols 2 Puan Linawati, or better known as Elly... We've been BFF eversince in UiTM and now she's married 2 my beloved cousin, AzhaN, we even got closed, eventhough our phisical appearence somehow 'differs'... LOL

One day, I recived a call saying that she's got 3 passes to MTV World Stage, as Tourism Malaysia was the sponsor for this event...

After several arrangement, she decided 2 leave her 2 heroes, Faaris & Faaiq to beloved Daddy and we had our time out... Furthurmore, he already given permission... Siap drop in my shoutbox lagi :

Due to some reason, we didn't stay long there and continued by shopping at Pyramid, eventhough it wasn't our initial intention :D "since aku 'single' hr ni, kalu dgn budak2 tu, susah nak shopping" - ok dear! points taken...

After shopping, we made our way 2 Uptown, Damansara for dinner... Dah lama makan sini.. so, all the food tasted so goood!!! -macam pantun laks!!

Just have a look at the chicken chop... It has so many accompaniment... Ada bread, baked bean, fries, egg & coleslaw... Only RM 7.50... Isn't that reasonable?

I had popiah & tauhu bakar... The popiah was really moist n it was served piping hot... Loved the sengkuang filling...

As for the tauhoo bakar, it was really crispy & cointained lotsa filling... yummy...

Elly, thanx a lot for the wonderful evening... I had fun... Lama x kuar dgn nko...

Kazen, thx for letting her out ya... Really miss those days...
